To prevent children from developing an addiction to them, new laws may outlaw DISPOSABLE vapes.
Health ministers are preparing to take action in response to growing worries that businesses are marketing products to consumers under the age of 18.
A disposable vape is what?
It is not necessary to set up, fill, or recharge disposable vapes. A disposable vaporizer can typically produce 200 to 800 puffs.
Because they are simple to purchase and promoted as “healthier” than traditional cigarettes, they have grown in popularity.
In the UK, supermarkets and corner stores sell vaporizers in a variety of fruity and sweet flavors, including bubblegum, strawberry, and lemonade.
Why does the government forbid disposable vapes?
To stop kids from becoming addicted to them, disposable vapes may soon be outlawed.
Despite having an age restriction of 18, health ministers assert that single-use e-cigarettes are being marketed to younger teens.
It happens after a number of other nations pass laws prohibiting e-cigarettes.
Germany has banned all flavored e-cigarettes, while Australia has already outlawed all forms of vaping.
While vaping is prohibited in many other nations, including Singapore, India, Uganda, and New Zealand, New Zealand has also banned disposable vapes.
When will single-use vapes be prohibited?
According to the report, the Department of Health and Social Care will announce the choice during a consultation next week (September 18–23).
In an interview with Sky News on September 12, Science Minister Michelle Donelan said the government would be making “further announcements on this” but did not specifically confirm a ban.
“We have been investigating this and conducting a review because this is a very concerning trend that we are seeing,” she said.
“Young children who have never smoked are starting to vape, which is extremely dangerous for their health and wellbeing and something we need to address.
And one of the things the government is attempting to do is identify the principal difficulties.
Reusable vape pens could still be used if there was a ban in place in England.
For Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, the devolved administrations would establish their own policy.
What negative effects can I expect from using a disposable vape?
It’s too early to determine the health effects of vaping because it’s still a relatively new product.
Numerous studies indicate that vaping is significantly less harmful than smoking, though.
This is so because tobacco, which has been linked to cancer, is not present in e-cigarettes.
Vaping is not risk-free, though.
They may have adverse effects, including nausea, headache, sore throat, and mouth irritation.
Additionally, it has been reported that at least five deaths in Britain have a vape connection.
What number of cigarettes fit inside a single-use vape?
One disposable is roughly equivalent to one pack of 20 cigarettes if it contains 2ml of vape juice.
A vape with 10ml of e-juice is equivalent to about 100 cigarettes.
