According to authorities, two suitcases containing a DISMEMBERED body were discovered in an apartment in Brooklyn, New York.
The grisly discovery was made by police near Cypress Hills, the same area where a different dismembered body was previously discovered.
According to The New York Post, cops went to the apartment on Wednesday after getting a tip about the occupant, a woman in her 20s.
Officials entered and discovered “a huge amount of blood” along with human remains.
According to the NYPD, police have launched an investigation and are looking for a person of interest to question.
The victim’s name has not been made public.
The woman who resides in the flat has a boyfriend, according to residents of the building, and the two frequently argue.
The building’s superintendent was the first to find the human remains, according to 24-year-old neighbour Kim Angeles, who then alerted the police.
The finding came months after Harvey Marcelin, a convicted murdererresidence ,’s contained a head.
According to The New York Times, the head belonged to a body that was found in a shopping cart a week earlier.
In connection with the 68-year-old Susan Leyden’s murder, Marcelin, who has spent more than 50 years of her life in prison, was charged with concealing a human corpse.
On February 27, Leyden entered Marcelin’s Brooklyn apartment for the last time.
According to the New York Post, Marcelin allegedly dumped human remains in her neighbourhood while being caught on camera.
A human head was purportedly discovered when Marcelin’s residence was searched under the authority of a search warrant.
Near Marcelin’s apartment, the torso of Leyden was found. It was supposedly in the bag Marcelin was seen leaving Marcelin’s apartment with and that Leyden had brought.
