Following his terrible passing at the Formula Regional European Championship, Dilano van’t Hoff’s girlfriend posted a poignant homage to her late companion.
The 18-year-old tragically perished as a result of a terrifying collision while taking part in the second race at the Belgian Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
Midway through the competition, Van’t Hoff collided with another driver on a treacherous circuit, causing his orange MP Motorsport vehicle to veer off the track.
The tragedy occurred during a regrettable high-speed collision when a passing vehicle was unable to spot the teenager’s stopped automobile on the circuit while the race was still going on.
In the wake of his tragic passing, 17-year-old girlfriend Katrina Coronell has posted a moving tribute to the promising racer. “My dear, thank you for everything you’ve done for me, for showing me your world,” reads a post on Instagram.
“You really were the best boyfriend, best friend and inspiration. You stayed strong fighting till the end. I’m grateful for you loving me until the end, i’m grateful that my last words for you on the grid were ‘i love you’ and i’m grateful that you fulfilled your promise telling me that you’ll love me till death.
“You will always have a special place in my heart and you really made me and others proud. I will never forget you and your smile. Goodbye my beautiful man, i’ll see you in the next life my angel. I love you [love heart]. Rest in peace Dilano Van’t Hoff.”
