A man, 53, and a woman, 44, have been detained in Nottingham on suspicion of killing a 22-year-old male.
At 07:50 BST on Friday, police were called to the stabbing on High Cross Leys, near the intersection of Huntingdon Street and Woodborough Road.
Davices Anderson was treated at the site by paramedics and transferred to the hospital, but he died later.
On suspicion of helping an offender, police detained two males, ages 49 and 39, and two women, ages 44 and 33.
Officers from Nottinghamshire Police said they had been given additional time to interrogate two more people detained in connection with the inquiry.
On Friday, a 60-year-old man was detained on suspicion of murder, and on Saturday, a 50-year-old guy was arrested on suspicion of supporting an offender.
“We made additional arrests over the weekend, bringing the total number of people we currently have in custody to eight,” Det Insp Clare Gibson said.
“I would ask anyone at all who saw or has any information about what took place, who haven’t yet come forward, to please get in contact with us at the earliest opportunity.”
