The discovery of skeletal remains in a remote desert region near Buckeye, Arizona, has sparked social media rumours that the remains may be those of Daniel Robinson, a young geologist who vanished in the region in 2021.
“Near Johnson Road and Southern, someone off-roading in a desolate desert region came across human skeletal remains, including a skull and other bones. The scene is presently being processed by investigators, “On Saturday, the Buckeye Police Department published something to its Facebook page.
Robinson, who vanished in 2021 at the age of 24, after leaving a desert geology site in his car, has sparked a flurry of conjecture that the remains may be his.
“Yesterday, a woman in Buckeye Arizona stumbled upon skeletonized human remains. She called police & posted a pic of the find on FB. Out of respect for deceased, I’ve covered the skull/vertebrae shown in her original photo. A shotgun shell is also shown in photo,” Lauren Lee Malloy, founder of Unsolved RI, which works to provide support for victims and families of cold cases in Rhode Island, posted to Twitter.

“Many believe the remains are those of Daniel Robinson, who disappeared in 2021,” Malloy added in a follow-up tweet.
However, they stressed that there has been no confirmation. Other detectives and criminal analysts conjectured on social media that the remains might be Robinson’s.

When Fox News Digital contacted the Buckeye Police Department to inquire if there was any proof the remains belonged to Robinson, they were informed the only information available was a press release announcing the discovery of the unidentified remains and their transfer to the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office for forensic analysis.
For updates, Fox News Digital also contacted the examiner’s office, but did not immediately hear back.
The location of Robinson’s disappearance is not the first time skeletal remains have been discovered there; volunteers looking for the young guy in 2021 discovered a vertebra, two femur bones, and both sides of a pelvis.
When Robinson abruptly departed a site in the desert where he was working as a hydrogeologist on June 23, 2021, near Buckeye, he was last seen. A rancher discovered Robinson’s 2017 Jeep Renegade smashed and overturned onto its passenger side in a ravine on July 19 of the same year.
About 30 miles to the west of Phoenix’s downtown sits Buckeye.
David Robinson, Robinson’s father, has persisted in looking for his son. After the first anniversary of his son’s disappearance, the father and veteran of the military told Fox News Digital that he had to “remain strong for Daniel” and had even moved from his home in South Carolina to Arizona to continue looking for him.
“Just because I’m retired doesn’t mean I stopped being a soldier,” David, who served two tours in Afghanistan, told Fox last year. “My son, he’s my mission. He’s my new mission.”
Human remains have been found in Buckeye, AZ. At this time, it’s not clear if this is related to the disappearance of #DanielRobinson. His dad has remained steadfast in finding him, never giving up hope. Whoever it is that was found, I’m thinking of them & their loved ones. ???????? https://t.co/aDIg8EFukv
