Ekin-Su Cülcülolu has been eliminated from ITV’s Dancing on Ice for the third time in as many seasons after failing to impress all four judges in the dreaded skate off.
As the final contenders participated in dance week on Sunday (February 5) night’s broadcast, the tenseness increased.
The surviving celebrities showed off their skating skills in an effort to wow home viewers and the ice panel.
But the bottom two were EastEnders icon Patsy Palmer and Love Island beauty Ekin-Su.
Unfortunately, Ekin-Su and her partner Brendyn Hatfield failed to do well enough to keep themselves in the race, which devastated the audience at home.
Sharing her thoughts on her depature an emotional Ekin-Su said she “fell in love with the ice”.
Taking to Twitter, viewers shared their thoughts as soon as the news of their departure was announced.
Last week, Dancing on Ice underwent a format change, which left several viewers confused.
Presenter Phillip Schofield revealed at the beginning of the programme that there would be no skate-off and that the audience vote would have the final say.
Michelle Heaton, the star of Liberty X, was forced to withdraw from the contest since she garnered the fewest votes.
Michelle abruptly left the show, and she posted on social media to express her “heartbreak” at having to go.
She wrote: “What a ride … I didn’t want it to end. Heartbroken.
“Though hear me when I say, I am overwhelmed with the support on this platform & others, I hear the frustration .. trust me, I am sad too.
“But guys, as one door closes another must open coz it’s the only way! We get up dust ourselves off and fight for the next dream.
