Chinese company Tencent Cloud has unveiled a brand-new platform that enables the creation of digital human replicas that can be used for a variety of tasks, including responding to questions during live broadcasts.
Tencent is now able to provide a “Deepfake-as-a-Service” (DFaaS) solution, according to The Register, for a cost of $145 and in just 24 hours.
The use of generative artificial intelligence has already raised questions about how difficult it will be to distinguish between fake and authentic content, but Tencent is advancing the technology with its most recent product.
