The Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, gave Rs 25 million to the families of the martyred Islamabad police officers, saying that Pakistan always stands by the victims’ heirs and that the sacrifices of our heroes cannot be avoided.
The Islamabad Police (ICT) expressed appreciation for the COAS’s gesture on Twitter and announced that letters had been sent to the martyrs’ families. At Police Lines, Gen. Asim Munir also met with the families of the ICT martyrs.
Gen. Asim Munir thanked all the martyrs of the nation for their sacrifices while speaking to the family members on the eve of Youm-e-Takreem Shuhada-e-Pakistan, which was held on May 25. Additionally, he denounced what occurred on May 9.
