The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, received a guard of honor on Wednesday at the Chinese People’s Liberation Army headquarters during his four-day visit to China, according to the military media wing.
After the contingent was inspected, the COAS met extensively with the commander of the PLA Army to talk about security and cross-border military cooperation.
Both commanders emphasized the importance of preserving regional peace and stability as well as enhancing military-to-military cooperation.
General Asim also saw a demonstration of the PLA Army soldiers’ operational prowess and praised their exceptional work ethic and training standards.
