MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE: Cleotha Abston kidnapped Eliza Fletcher on September 2; she was a mother of two and the next in line to run the billion dollar family business. On September 5, she was apprehended by the police, who then charged him with “especially aggravated kidnapping and tampering with evidence.” Abston’s uncle has since come forward to criticise his nephew.
The 69-year-old Nathaniel Isaac was open and critical of his nephew, who has a criminal record, in an interview
He disclosed that the mother of the kidnapper has been running away since since the 38-year-old suspect was detained for the crime. “Isaac said,” “She is concealed. She’s absent right now because of that. She is devastated by what transpired. I saw the news; I hope the poor woman is still alive. Always have hope.” Isaac clarified that he never really knew Abston because the latter spent 20 years in prison for an unrelated kidnapping, but he did provide information about his brother Mario, who is travelling the same path as his brother because he was also detained after a raid on unrelated drug and weapons charges.
Unreleased surveillance video allegedly shows a man rushing aggressively toward Fletcher, 34, and shoving her into the car’s passenger side. They remained in the automobile for four minutes before driving off to an unidentified place, however the car did not move during that time. A 2013 GMC Terrain in black can be seen at the same location 24 minutes before the mother-of-two was arrested at 4:20 am. Martin Luther King Riverside Park, a nearby pond, and Pine Hill Park have all been considered as viable search areas thus far.
Regarding the family he married into, Nathaniel Isaac had much to say. He moves “My family is really crazy. They have always existed. I don’t love them because they’re crazy. It’s accurate. Check out the Abstons’ police reports. You’ll discover that they’re all guilty of some sort of crime. My wife’s son remained behind bars. Mario has been detained right now for having narcotics and a gun. And when it comes to Cleo, I’m positive he played a role in her kidnapping. Can I provide evidence for it? No.”

For holding a guy at gunpoint in Memphis, Cleotha had previously been given a 20-year prison term. He was found guilty of kidnapping Kemper Durant, a Memphis attorney, under threat of violence and forcing him to withdraw cash from ATMs while being held captive in the trunk of his car. He supposedly earned 20 years in 2001, when he was only 17 years old. On Saturday, September 3, after being observed by neighbours acting “suspiciously,” his brother Mario Abston, 36, was detained by law enforcement personnel. His residence was searched as a result. Fletcher hasn’t been located yet.
