Three teens were killed in Florida, and a 12-year-old kid and a 17-year-old have been taken into custody in connection with the crimes.
Authorities are actively looking for a third suspect, Tahj Brewton, 16, after Christopher Atkins, 12, and Robert Robinson, 17, allegedly confessed to at least one of the shootings that have shaken the little village of Ocklawaha.
Last week, Layla Silvernail, 16, Camille Quarles, 16, and a 17-year-old male were shot in a car together before being found three days later within a 5-mile radius.
The victims’ accused perpetrators and those who killed them are thought to be responsible for a recent rash of robberies and burglaries in the small Florida town.
At a news conference on Friday, Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods stated that the homicides were committed for “robbery,” adding that one of the killers is still at large.
‘I will get him,’ Woods said, adding that the group were all associated with a gang ‘in some shape or another’.
The three young victims were found discarded in various areas over a three-day period, but detectives were able to prove that they were together before being killed in a Silvernail-owned vehicle.
Detectives suspect the kids were all slain at the same time because a witness apparently heard several gunshots at the time, according to the sheriff.
When Silvernail, 16, was found alive and unharmed in a skip close to Forest Lakes Park last Thursday, she had been shot in the head. She later passed away in a hospital.
Hours after the horrifying finding, the unidentified body of a 17-year-old victim was discovered on the side of a road less than a mile away. Camille Quarles, a 16-year-old victim, was discovered inside on Saturday.

‘Do I have to spell it out for you? What do you think they were doing?’ he said. ‘They’re gangs because they commit crimes’.
