Just hours after taking the field for the Seattle Sea Dragons in a game, former NFL standout Chris Smith passed away at the age of 31.
The former football star of the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals passed away “suddenly” after an XFL league game.
West Rowan High School, which is located in North Carolina, announced NFL icon Smith’s demise, however his cause of death has not been determined.
The school posted on Twitter: “Rest in Peace to a West Rowan Legend! Chris was a better person than he was player!
“The impact he had on those around him will be remembered forever!”
Chris Smith’s stint with the Cleveland Browns from 2018 to 2019 may be best remembered for his 16 appearances throughout that season.
He also spent time with the Houston Texans, Las Vegas Raiders, and Cincinnati Bengals.
Chris also spent some time on the practise squads with the Carolina Panthers and Baltimore Ravens.
The cause of the star’s demise is still unknown.
Medical help was called to the site, but Petara passed away after she arrived at the hospital.
Smith’s death was confirmed by his old high school West Rowan, based in North Carolina.

Only four years have passed since the death of Smith’s 26-year-old lover, Petara Cordero.
When she exited the opulent Lamborghini driven by the football guy, she was struck by a vehicle.
Smith’s car’s tyre exploded, forcing him and his girlfriend to stop on the side of the road.
