Ghandhara Nissan Limited (GNL) upped the pricing of the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro SUVs, continuing the most recent wave of price increases.
The corporation blamed the increase on rising operating costs and the depreciation of the local currency. The following are the new prices, which take effect right away:
Models | Old Price (Rs.) | Revised Price (Rs.) | Increase (Rs.) |
Tiggo 4 Pro | 5,499,000 | 6,099,000 | 600,000 |
Tiggo 8 Pro | 8,199,000 | 9,299,000 | 1,100,000 |
The Ministry of Industries and Production (MoIP) has reportedly received a notification from the Federal Ombudsman asking a thorough report on multiple pricing increases for domestically produced vehicles.
The Ombudsman noted that it is bad administration when automakers unilaterally raise prices without any kind of control system.
He has asked the Ministry of Industries and Production to look into the possibility of automakers overcharging clients who had already paid the agreed-upon amount at the time the vehicles were delivered. He added that the government is in charge of regulating and overseeing price changes.
