Charlene Clayton a mother and her two children have vanished, and COPS are scrambling to find them.
Carter and Callum, both four years old, were taken on Monday afternoon by Charlene Clayton, 35, from their guardian’s home in Walthamstow, North East London. She hasn’t been seen since.
Yesterday afternoon, the mother paid a visit to Carter and Callum, two 4-year-olds who live with a guardian at a house on Acacia Road.
The 35-year-old took the kids with her to a store in Acacia Road, but when she didn’t come back, someone alerted the police just before 5.20 p.m.
A number of inquiries have been made and an immediate investigation has been begun by the police.
Charlene may have travelled to the Chingford region.
“We are becoming more worried for Charlene and her two children’s safety, and we are eager to get in touch with her to establish they are all safe and well,” said Detective Constable Amy Campion of the nearby Waltham Forest police force.
“Charlene was in contact with the childrens’ guardian after she left the house, but this contact has since stopped.
“I also understand this incident will cause concern within the community, however I would like to reassure the public that we do not believe there to be any wider risk.
“We are conducting a number of investigations, but we do need to speak with anyone who has information regarding Charlene’s whereabouts. I’d also ask residents of the Walthamstow and Chingford districts to keep an eye out for her and to call the police at 999 if they see her.”
