The “Blue Road” concept was put into practice in Lahore, the provincial capital, by the Punjab Central Business District Development Authority to lessen air pollution. According to a CBD spokeswoman, blue asphalt will be used in road construction and is currently being used in the ongoing renovation of the Kalma Chowk Underpass.
He claims that Qatar is where the concept was first developed with the aim of modernizing the city’s basic infrastructure and raising the standard of living for its citizens. According to the official, the idea won’t just make the road look better; it will also make it heat-absorbing, he continued, adding that it will help lower air pollution in the city.
The CBD CEO affirmed that he was personally supervising the construction of the road and promised to complete the undertaking by the date specified by Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi.
