An accused CANNIBAL killer admitted to killing Kevin Bacon and devouring some of his body.
The hairdresser, 25, and Mark Latunski, 53, met on the hookup and dating app Grindr, and in December 2019, he invited her to his Michigan home.
Then, according to Mlive.com, he stabbed Bacon in the back, severed his testicles, carried them to his kitchen, and consumed them.
On December 28, Bacon’s body was discovered in the basement of Latunski’s house in Bennington Township, hanging from his ankles.
Official records showed that his throat had been sliced and that many body parts had been taken.
After failing to show up at a breakfast on Christmas Eve, the hairdresser’s family had filed a missing person’s report.
His automobile was discovered at a Dollar General parking lot before police followed him to Latunski’s home.
Prior to his October 18th trial, which was scheduled to begin on Thursday, Latunski had previously modified his plea from not guilty to guilty on the grounds of insanity.
He admitted to open murder, which includes both first- and second-degree murder, and the mutilation of a body.
Latunski’s guilt or innocence of first-, second-, or manslaughter-degree murder will be decided at a hearing in October.
Latunski might receive a life sentence.
Police suspect there may be further victims out there.
According to a neighbour who spoke to Fox 2, in November 2019, a young man asking for assistance was standing on his front porch wearing a leather skirt.
“This gentleman is grasping my arm with deathly fear, screaming, ‘help me, keep him away’ just screaming at the top of his lungs ‘he wants to hurt me, he wants to hurt me,'” said Michael Parks.
“Another vehicle pulls in my driveway and out comes, who I now find out is Mark, wearing a leather skirt, belts across his chest no shoes, no shirt on, his beard is braided. [A] very odd-looking gentleman.”
Although police arrived on the scene and removed the bleeding victim, Latunski was never charged in connection with the event.
