On Thursday, Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) released the O-level, IGCSE, and ICE examination results for the June 2022 assessment series.
Details indicate that more than 200,000 subject entries for O-level, IGCSE, and ICE exams in June 2022 were submitted by Pakistani schools. In the exam series, about 56,000 applicants from 628 institutions participated.
The three subjects that Pakistani students continued to choose for the exam series were Islamiyat, English, and Pakistan Studies.
The achievements, according to CAIE Chief Executive Christine Ozden, are evidence of the students’ diligence and the teachers’ encouragement.
She continued by saying that 2022 had been yet another challenging year for education as the global Coronavirus outbreak continued to disrupt daily life.
According to Ozden, in order to reach this position, students have shown incredible resiliency. Teachers have also demonstrated an unmatched dedication for the academic success of their charges.
Uzma Yousuf, country director for CAIE Pakistan, commended the children for receiving constant support throughout yet another challenging year, as well as the instructors, schools, and families.
This is a fantastic achievement, in the face of yet another difficult year, as these students have had to overcome many challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. All those receiving results today should be very proud of what they have achieved.
She also commended the British Council for holding the June 2022 exam series during a trying period and for enforcing stringent Coronavirus SOPs to guarantee the safety of all students during the exams.
