Caleb Farley, a cornerback for the Tennessee Titans, lost his father Robert Farley tragically in a Mooresville, North Carolina home explosion brought on by a gas leak. Despite their inability to pinpoint the exact cause of the explosion, the authorities made the information public on Tuesday.
The Mooresville house, which is located about 30 miles north of Charlotte’s downtown, was destroyed as a result of the incident, which happened on August 22. Aside from the fatalities, one other person was hurt.
Robert Farley, 61, was discovered in a back bedroom, according to Kent Greene, a representative for the Iredell County Fire Marshal’s Office and Emergency Management. Additionally, as was previously mentioned, the incident injured Christian Rogers, a 25-year-old friend of the family.
In a statement, the fire marshal’s office stated that “the instability of the remaining structure prevents further investigation into the cause and origin. The owner’s insurance company will carry out any further investigations.
Emergency response teams quickly arrived on the scene on the morning of August 22. Christian Rogers was about to leave the house when they ran into him. Kent Greene reported that after Rogers was taken to Atrium Main in Charlotte for medical attention, authorities confirmed that his injuries weren’t life-threatening.
“Growing up as a little boy, I always knew my father was well-respected in this community,” Caleb Farley said in response to the incident. I value the assistance. Everyone showing up just to see how my family is doing. My faith is all I have in this world. That is all I have.
American football cornerback Caleb Ray Farley is a member of the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). He made a name for himself while playing for Virginia Tech in college football, and the Titans selected him in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
