The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) updated its domestic and international travel regulations on Saturday.
The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) announced that the authority had overturned the law requiring face masks to be worn at all times.
“Amid declining COVID-19 trend across the country, mask-wearing as a part of nonpharmaceutical interventions is no longer a mandatory requirement during domestic and international travel; however, still preferable,” the notification read.

A mask is not required, but it is nevertheless desirable, the CAA stated in a separate message sent on its official Twitter account.
“Please choose to wear a face mask for everyone’s safety,” the poster read.
In light of the spike in COVID-19 instances around the nation, CAA had earlier in June once more imposed this mask-wearing requirement.
