The cause of Bronny James’ shocking medical episode has been identified, but he will still appear in court.
The family of the basketball star for the University of Southern California said the 18-year-old has a treatable congenital heart defect.
Lebron’s son Bronny finally received some crucial answers following consultations with leading medical professionals, according to the report.
According to a statement seen by the outlet, the congenital heart defect is significant both anatomically and functionally and can be treated.
The announcement was made following Bronny’s cardiac arrest on July 24 while exercising on the USC campus.
He fell to the ground, terrifying the entire team, but with the aid of the trainers present, he was able to get back to a stable condition.
After that, Bronny spent weeks making appointments at the Mayo Clinic and other prestigious medical centers to find out if he could continue in his father’s profession.
He was spotted at Drake concerts and Los Angeles Dodgers games throughout it all, and he seemed to be in good spirits.
The family is confident that he can safely return to court now that the issue has been identified.
The family expressed their “high confidence” in Bronny’s full recovery and impending return to basketball.
“We will continue to provide updates to the media and respectfully reiterate the family’s request for privacy.”
According to Clutch Points, USC coach Andy Enfield recently revealed how “ecstatic” he was when Bronny signed, so this news will undoubtedly lift his spirits.
Before getting hurt, Bronny was considered a five-star recruit who could go in the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft when he arrived at the USC campus.
