A Washington police officer Breanna Straus boasting that she is above the law and would not hesitate to exercise her authority on individuals not immediately respecting her released a video to Tik Tok after less than a year on the job.
Breanna Straus, a police officer in Federal Way, Washington, ultimately received a suspension of 10 hours, or one shift, without pay.
As a public service announcement, Straus broadcast the video around July 1. He advised viewers to “get the f*ck out of the way” if they saw a police officer driving behind them on the freeway in order to avoid being stopped for some fabricated offence.
“I can go 90 miles,” she said. “You can’t. You can’t do that so get the f*ck out of the way.
“If us officers stay behind you long enough, we can find a reason to pull you over so you might as well get the f*ck out of the way. Super simple, that’s all, you’re welcome.”
She finished the video by snapping her fingers. The caption on the video stated, “I’m not the only one thinking it.”
Although KIRO 7’s initial report on the video on July 1 did not specify when it was published, the copy of the film they utilised showed that it had been online for almost four hours.
According to the Federal Way Mirror, the Federal Way Police Department announced a week later that Straus would be suspended for one shift for transgressing the department’s code of conduct standard in two areas: social media conduct and personal conduct.
The original tale largely went ignored by the rest of the nation, but this week it has gained a lot of attention on social media.
On her LinkedIn CV from a few years ago, Straus referred to herself as having “great people skills” and being a “excellent leader.”
The Tik Tok account of Straus, who was sworn in as an officer on August 9, 2021, appears to have been removed. Watch the video below.
