A SET of bones discovered wrapped in cotton have been recognised as belonging to a 2017 missing lady.
A dog walker in Youngstown, Ohio, found Amy Hambrick’s 29-year-old skeletal remains last month.
Police stated on Tuesday that the missing woman’s jawbone and dental records allowed forensic experts to identify her.
However, the circumstances behind the mother-of-passing one’s remain a mystery.
And the probe into her disappearance is still ongoing.
Detective Chief Captain Jason Simon of the Youngstown Police Department stated: “Someone knows what happened.”
The officer added: “We’re asking to speak to either that individual because there’s clearly a side to the story here.
After departing for a friend’s house in November 2017 but failing to arrive, Hambrick vanished.
“She left from Youngstown and she was supposed to meet up at a friend’s place in North Jackson,” her mother, Debby Dolin, recalled in 2018.
“Or anyone that has information about her discovery. ”
“I know that there are people who know what happened to Amy.”
Speaking about Amy’s daughter, Dolin added: “Her and Jayden were like two peas in a pod, always together.”
“She misses her mommy so much.
“You can remain anonymous. Just give us something that’s going to let us know where my daughter is or what’s happened to her.”
The length of time the bones were in the woods until they were discovered is unknown.
“Today is going to be an occasion for us to offer closure to this family,” stated Youngstown Mayor Jamael Tito Brown.
