Billy Miller, a SOAP opera actor, passed away two days before turning 44.
Miller, 43, was a three-time Daytime Emmy Award-winning television actor best known for his work on General Hospital and The Young and the Restless.
According to Michael Fairman TV, the actor passed away on Friday.
According to Michael Fairman, someone at The Belmont, a restaurant and bar that Miller was a co-owner of, in Los Angeles, California, confirmed his death.
His cause of death is still a mystery.
Miller was born on September 17, 1979 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. On Sunday, he would have turned 44.
He relocated to Los Angeles after receiving his communications degree from the University of Texas.
Miller began working in the mailroom of the entertainment company Industry Entertainment before going on acting auditions.
When he played Richie Novak in All My Children in 2007, he made his daytime TV acting debut.
From 2008 until 2014, the actor gained fame while portraying Billy Abbott on Young and the Restless.
While appearing on the show, Miller received two Emmys for Outstanding Supporting Actor and one for Outstanding Lead Actor.
Miller started as Jason Morgan/Drew Cain on General Hospital in 2014. He played the part for five years before quitting the show in 2019.
After word of Miller’s passing spread on social media, condolences from fans flooded the platform.
He was referred to as “one of the best actors” in the series he appeared in by a user on X, formerly known as Twitter.
