The teaser for Salman Khan’s brand-new song from his highly anticipated film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is now available. The song, “Billi Billi,” is as generic as they come, making it challenging to recognise singer Sukhbir’s voice. The teaser’s brief sampling of the song gives the impression that the track has been heavily auto-tuned.
The beloved is praised in the song’s lyrics, which also compare her eyes to a cat’s. The practise of praising a lover in a Hindi film song has been around for a while, but this song has to be one of the least creative ways such a potentially upbeat, fun song could have been written. The song’s author Kumaar comes across as dreadfully uninspired.
Sukhbir is also the composer of the music, and it’s not very good either. Really, we expected more from the man who gave us “Ishq Tera Tadpave,” one of the biggest Punjabi-pop anthems of the 1990s. Not much can be said about the video because it appears just as stale as the film’s trailer did. Salman appears to have undergone a digital ageing process in the movie. On Thursday, the complete song will be released.
With Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Salman Khan is making a comeback to the big screen. He will be seen alongside Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, and Raghav Juyal, among others. This Eid, the movie opens.
