A reality actress Belinda Love Rygier has admitted to having slept with more than 700 men, but she insisted that she is not ashamed of her past sex addiction.
The Bachelor Australia star Belinda “Love” Rygier also disclosed that she used to go out up to six nights a week in search of sex.
Belinda, 38, stated on the You’re a Grub Mate! radio show: “I was unaware of my issue until I fixed it. My relationships were the problem, and I kept drawing toxic men.”
Eight years into her recovery, the TV star-turned-relationship coach has been celibate for 15 months.
Belinda continued: “When I recovered I thought there was some unhealed trauma from my past that was causing my sex addiction.
“It ruled my life, but I was a functioning addict, I have a great career, you wouldn’t know on the surface.”
Confessing that she’s “lost count” of the number of men she slept with, Belinda insisted that it was “above 700”.
But Belinda – who found fame on the 2017 series of The Bachelor Australia – says she’s “not ashamed” by her high number of sexual partners.
The height of Belinda’s addiction was before the popularity of dating apps, meaning she would go out up to six nights a week to meet men.
She added: “Men were very good at telling me what I want to hear, it was about feeling beautiful and validated and loved rather than having the sex.”
Although Belinda admitted that she “still has a high sex drive” she’s determined to wait until she has a connection with someone.
“Society has declined and we’re using sex for the wrong reason – which is a quick validation or moment,” she said.
“I will be having sex again but with someone I have a connection with.”
