The claims that the hybrid model, put forth by the Pakistan Cricket Board for the Asia Cup 2023, would be accepted have been refuted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The PCB proposed a hybrid model where India wouldn’t have to play in Pakistan after the authorities previously expressed their unwillingness to hold matches in Pakistan for the Asia Cup. Later, reports of the Asian Cricket Council’s acceptance of the hybrid model began to circulate.
In response to claims that they prefer to play games in Sri Lanka because it would be a neutral venue for the Asia Cup, BCCI denied these claims. The final decision, which is anticipated to be announced on May 28 during the Indian Premier League final, is what the fans are waiting for.
