Huey Tum Ajnabi, directed by Kamran Shahid, places its two main characters, Nizamuddin (Mikaal) and Zeenat (Sadia), in pre-partition Bangladesh, at Dhaka University, some fifty years ago.
The movie might offer some hard-won truths amidst a sea of propaganda-based offerings if it is not viewed through a politically-directed or jingoistic lens, especially since it is a journalist’s first foray into filmmaking.
