Axl Rose, the frontman of Guns N’ Roses, is charged with battery and sexual assault in connection with an alleged 1989 incident.
Court documents seen by Daily Star allege that the star “used his fame, status, and power as a celebrity and performer in the music industry to gain access to manipulate, control, and violently sexually assault [the victim].”
He is believed to have met her at a nightclub and then invited her back to his hotel room, but he allegedly refused to let her friend go because she was “not hot enough.” He is charged with giving her “alcohol, champagne, and cocaine” and then “pushing her against the wall and kiss[ing] her.” According to the survivor, Axl might have been using lithium at the same time.
The survivor says that initially, she was “fine” with what had happened, but then Axl supposedly cleared the room, leaving only the female model and Axl’s buddy [Riki] Rachtman.
She claims that shortly after, she was in Axl’s bedroom, witnessing him start to kiss and engage in “aggressive” sexual relations with the other model. The witness says she heard “objects being thrown” and “sounds of glass shattering” when she entered Rachtman’s bedroom.
The survivor claims that after hearing Rose coming down the hallway, screaming at her, and storming into the room, Rachtman told her, “It’s going to get bad.” He claimed to be “furious.”
Before “grabbing [her] by her robe” and “knocking her to the floor in the hallway,” she claimed Rose “loomed threateningly over her, blocking her exit.”
According to court records, the woman claims Axl “dragged her by the hair back to his bedroom,” causing her to scrape on the rug and cut her knees. Rose is said to have “tied up her hands with pantyhose and sexually assault[ed] her” back in the bedroom. The victim asserts that Rose did not use a condom and that she never gave her consent.
According to the survivor, Rose “treated her like property” and “physically stopped her from leaving”. Additionally, she says she was afraid he would “physically attack her” if she tried to push him away since she felt “overpowered” and had “no escape or exit”.
She is now suing the singer for damages, claiming she was traumatized and that she “experienced anxiety and depression akin to PTSD.”
