Asif Ali Zardari, a former president and co-chairman of the PPP, was admitted to a private hospital in Karachi’s Clifton neighborhood when his health deteriorated.
Sources claim that a medical team lead by Dr. Asim Hussain is assessing the former president and that Zardari would have a “surgery” on his lungs.
Additional tests on the former president will be conducted when the “process” is finished, according to sources with knowledge of the development. The PPP leader has been ailing for more than a month, they continued.
Zardari has been admitted to a hospital twice this year, the most recent instance being this one.
He was transferred to a hospital in February of this year as a result of a decline in his condition. The former president was sent to a private hospital in Lahore for a medical evaluation and testing, according to the former president’s personal doctor.
