The fifth girl to speak up about Adam Levine’s wandering eyes is a college student from Alabama who says the Maroon 5 frontman randomly found her on social media early this year and started conversing with her.
Ashley Russell, 21, who manages a health and fitness Instagram account with little over 4,100 followers, claims the singer began monitoring her Instagram stories in March before like her pictures and DM-ing her.
The senior at Auburn University who is a fitness enthusiast said to DailyMail.com that the 43-year-old began responding to pictures of her working out, particularly those that displayed her toned legs and glutes, but that she would almost immediately delete his messages after she had viewed them.
The pleasant discussions, according to her, were practically daily but eventually ceased after she forewarned the father of two that he would be exposed for flirting with women online.
After reading his communications, Russell claimed Levine would almost immediately erase them, perhaps to stop her from getting screenshots.
Screenshots provided to DailyMail.com reveal a list of Russell’s article watchers that includes Levine’s verified account handle as well as a string of flirtatious messages that the pop-rock singer is said to have sent.
On March 13, Levine appears to joke with the young woman in a direct message, writing: “Leg day.” The most crucial and the one that is easiest to overlook.
He makes the ambiguous statement: “You’re in college right?” later in the talk. A minute later, he sent another message with the following remark: “Nice work on legs. #commitment.’
Russell, who compared herself to the Hollywood star as a “random lady in college,” acknowledged that she found it “strange” that Levine would start a discussion with her but claimed she felt obliged to do so in order to see how far he would go.
She claimed Levine informed her he spotted her account on his Instagram explore tab, which is a tailored content feed on the app that she also found odd.

‘[He would message] almost everyday at night around 10pm my time. I would check every time I posted a story, which was every day, and it was always viewed by him,’ Russell said.
Russell claimed the friendly exchanges took place almost every night, but ultimately ran dry when she warned the father-of-two that he was going to get caught flirting with women online
Russell, a student at Auburn University in Alabama, admitted that she thought it was ‘weird’ that Levine would strike up a conversation with her, but said she felt compelled to continue chatting to see how far he would go
‘He said he found me from his Discover Page on Instagram because he is “big into fitness” and I have a fitness account. I knew it was weird so I wanted to keep it going to see if it got worse.’
‘When I told him he was going to get caught DMing girls like me he stopped texting me.’
Russell, who was 20 at the time, said Levine never messaged her again after that, but continued to look at her story posts.
‘I think this is the true meaning of disrespect towards a woman. It makes me very sad that he is married and does this immature thing,’ she said.
Russell added that she found it particularly strange that he said he spotted her on Instagram Explore feed, ‘considering his age and [that] he’s married.’
‘I wonder what his [feed] looks like… all young women? Very odd to me,’ she said.
