President and CEO of ARY Digital Network Salman Iqbal made the announcement to donate Rs. 30 million to flood victims in Pakistan.
More than Rs 2 billion in donations were received from individuals in Pakistan and around the world in just one hour during Imran Khan’s international telethon today.
Salman Iqbal, President and CEO of ARY Digital Network, also stated his intention to donate Rs30 million to flood victims.
Salman Iqbal has consistently stepped forward to assist those in need, according to Imran Khan, who was complimenting Mr. Iqbal. This has happened despite the suspension of ARY News cable transmission.
Senior journalist Sabir Shakir announced a Rs500,000 gift for the flood victims during the telethon. Despite the odd circumstances, he said, he is still giving the money to the flood victims. Shakir claimed that the suspension of ARY News’ cable broadcast has put a financial strain on more than 4,000 media workers’ families.
Sabir Shakir and those like him, according to Imran Khan, have chosen the correct road, and his political party would support them all. The PTI leader promised to make every effort to protect press freedom while also helping those affected by the floods.
