In what the Kenyan government claimed was a “mistaken identity” shooting on the outskirts of Nairobi, the Kenyan police shot Sharif on the night of Sunday, October 23, fatally injuring him.
The family stated that arrangements for the postmortem at Pims Hospital will be made by the federal capital police and the administration. In this regard, a medical team of three doctors will be assembled.
The postmortem at the hospital has been requested by Arshad Sharif’s mother to include a prominent surgeon.
The senior journalist’s remains would be transported to the Pims Hospital in the morning, according to the authorities. The body has been kept in the Quaid-e-Azam International Hospital’s mortuary.
After he was slain in Kenya, Arshad Sharif’s initial postmortem was performed in Nairobi. He underwent a postmortem, and his body was transported to Pakistan.
In the early hours of Wednesday, a Qatar Airways jet carrying his body touched down in Islamabad. His body was delivered to his family at the airport in Islamabad.
