After witnessing her mother Allison Parker being shot dead in front of her by a smirking shooter who live-streamed the killings on Facebook, the mother’s distraught daughter has denounced the rising violence in Memphis.
After going on an accused rampage early on Wednesday morning, Ezekiel Kelly, 19, allegedly terrorised the city for more than 19 hours, murdering four people and wounding three more.
With her daughter Ariana, 20, present to see her mother’s killing, nurse Allison Parker, 38, was shot dead as Kelly attempted to elude the police by stealing her Toyota SUV.
She posted on Instagram saying: ‘Watched my own momma die in front of me. F*** this city.’
The mother of three has set up a GoFundMe for her kids, who are described as being orphans as a result of the killing of Parker and the death of their father two years ago.
Dewayne Tunstall, 24, who was reportedly a friend of Kelly’s, was shot and killed in his driveway on Glendale Avenue at roughly 12:56 in the morning, according to estimates.
Kelly and Tunstall had been out socialising when Kelly pulled him aside and drew.
Kelly had been out with Tunstall when he pulled him aside and pulled out a black revolver, shooting him multiple times in the head.
Police have urged terrified members of the public to stay away from Kelly because of his violent criminal history, in which they have connected him to eight distinct instances.
He will appear in court today via video link, and only one count of first-degree murder has been filed against him thus far.
Despite initially facing charges of attempted murder, the adolescent was sentenced to three years in prison in 2021 but was freed early after entering a plea of guilty to aggravated assault.
