We already know that Apple is developing a new Apple Watch Ultra model with an enhanced microLED display. However, the device appears to debut two years later. The device won’t be available until the second half of 2025, you read that right.
Display analyst Ross Young has revealed that the microLED Apple Watch has now been “pushed out” to 2025 at the earliest. The device’s 2024 launch has been postponed. Young had earlier this year predicted a release date of 2025, but now he has shifted his forecast to the second half of the year.
Additionally, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg has confirmed that Apple is developing a microLED Apple Watch. He predicted the device’s release for the end of 2024 earlier this year, but Apple’s plans have probably changed since then.
Early rumors about products that won’t launch for a year or more can be unreliable in terms of timing because Apple frequently has to postpone its release dates because of delays in design, sourcing components, manufacturing, and other processes.
The first Apple product to feature a microLED display will be the Apple Watch Ultra. Apple, however, intends to eventually integrate the technology into the iPhone and other devices. Of course, it will take some time before this technology is available on all Apple products. In any case, over the next few weeks, we will give you more information about the device. So keep checking for new information.
