A new 15-inch MacBook Air model with the company’s M2 chip inside was unveiled by Apple on Monday. According to the company, it has an 8-core CPU and a 10-core GPU that can perform up to 12 times faster than the fastest MacBook powered by Intel. At its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event, Apple also unveiled new Mac Studio and Mac Pro models. The M2, M2 Pro, M2 Max, and a potent new M2 Ultra chip power these computers.
MacBook Air 15-inch Specs:
The 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display on the MacBook Air 15-inch has a maximum brightness of 500 nits. According to Apple, it is the thinnest 15-inch laptop in the world at 11.5mm. Along with a 3.5mm headphone jack, it has MagSafe charging, two Thunderbolt ports for attaching accessories, and support for up to a 6K external display. The MacBook Air 15-inch has a 10-core GPU, a 16-core Neural Engine, and an 8-core CPU with four performance cores and four efficiency cores. A three-mic array and a 1080p webcam are also included for clearer voice calls. The laptop runs macOS Ventura and has six speakers as well.
Mac Studio (2023) Specs:
In comparison to the previous generation Studio with an M1 Max, the new M2 Max SoC in the Mac Studio (2023) is said to be up to 50% faster, and it may even be up to three times faster. Higher-bandwidth HDMI on the Mac Studio (2023) allows for up to 8K resolution and 240Hz framerates. Up to six Pro Display XDRs are supported by Mac Studio with the M2 Ultra. Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, four Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 10Gbps Ethernet port, two USB Type-A ports, and other features are also included.
Mac Pro (2023) Specs:
Although Apple has finally replaced the Intel Xeon CPUs with an M2 Ultra SoC, the Mac Pro (2023) retains its previous design. With this, you get a 24-core CPU, a GPU with up to 76 cores, and SSD storage that is starting with twice the memory as the Intel Mac Pro. Additionally, it can be set up with as much as 192GB of memory with 800GBps of combined memory bandwidth. According to rumors, every Mac Pro (2023) will have the processing power of seven Afterburner cards to speed up video rendering. Seven PCle expansion slots, up to six Pro Display XDRs, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3 are all features of the Mac Pro (2023).
