In Tallaght, Dublin, a man has appeared in court and been accused of killing his siblings.
Andy Cash, 24, was charged with killing his twin sisters Chelsea and Christy Cawley, aged eight, and his older sister Lisa Cash, 18, at a special session of Dublin’s Central Criminal Court tonight.
On Sunday, September 4, three counts of murder were allegedly committed at a location on Rossfield Avenue by Mr. Cash, of Tallaght.
Mr. Cash, who was in front of Judge Patricia McNamara, appeared in a grey shirt and tracksuit bottoms. He was mute during the hearing.
When prompted by the judge, the defendant briefly stood to acknowledge his presence in court.
Garda presented evidence of an arrest, a charge, and a warning. At 5:51 p.m., according to Robert Whitty of the Tallaght Garda Station, the accused was charged.
When each charge was presented to Mr. Cash, the court heard that he responded with “no remark.”
A lawyer for Mr. Cash requested legal help on behalf of his client. He added that he would be looking to have his client undergo a psychological evaluation.
