Following Imran Khan’s Tuesday arrest by paramilitary police outside the High Court in Islamabad, controversial influencer Andrew Tate has publicly backed the former Pakistani prime minister.
In an unexpected turn of events, Tate tweeted, “All the good guys go to jail,” showing his support for the imprisoned PTI chairman.
Who would have guessed that Andrew Tate, a former British-American kickboxer who is now a successful businessman with divisive opinions, would be a fan of the Kaptaan. Nobody could have predicted this strange crossover.
Tate’s tweet sparked a wave of both support and criticism after it attracted attention from various online sources and raised questions.
Tate and Khan’s backers united behind his claim, unintentionally demonstrating their support for the former Pakistani prime minister. On Twitter, one user made a conspiratorial allusion by writing, “The matrix wants everyone with influence jailed,” while another said of Khan, “He is a Top G like you.”
However, given his own recent arrest and the allegations that surrounded it, not everyone welcomed Tate’s support. He was challenged on Twitter by a user who noted, “Girl, this man literally went to jail for human trafficking. How the hell can he be talking about that?
In the midst of the conflicting viewpoints, one Twitter user added humor by tweeting, “MashAllah, Andrew Tate joins PTI,” along with a photoshopped image that combined Khan and Tate.
Andrew Tate’s involvement in this contentious episode follows his arrest in Romania in late 2022 on suspicion of engaging in human trafficking, rape, and organizing a gang of criminals.
Tate was detained along with his brother Tristan and two Romanian women; however, he was later released from custody and put under house arrest while authorities conducted additional inquiries.
