A Connecticut school lunch lady has been accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old student at her school after grooming him via text message.
Andie Paige Rosafort, a former New Fairfield lunch aid, is accused of sending nude photographs and videos to a teenage boy via Snapchat over a six-month period, as well as having sexual intercourse with him.
Rosafort, 31, is accused of sending the boy her first naked image by first asking him, ‘You want to see something?’
Rosafort, according to the affidavit, had been communicating with the victim for six months via various social media platforms such as Instagram and Snapchat.
At one point, the victim claimed that Rosafort texted him and asked, “You want to see something?” before sending him a naked photo.
Rosafort sent a second unsolicited nude selfie after the boy asked if she had sent the picture by mistake.
Among the sexts the woman is accused of sending were videos of herself masturbating to him over a period of months.
Rosafort is accused of requesting that the 14-year-old send her naked photographs of himself in exchange.
Rosafort, according to the victim, also attended his sporting events and sent him videos of him playing.
Police gathered evidence that the victim and Rosafort were in the same location at the time of the alleged sexual assaults.
Investigators also claim to have discovered a shirtless photo of the victim on Rosafort’s phone.
According to the affidavit obtained by WTNH, the teen was at a party when he informed his friends that he needed to leave because he needed to see his family.
His friends suspected something was wrong when he abruptly left the event.
When he returned, his friends thought he was ‘acting strangely.’ He then revealed what had happened between him and the dinner lady, as well as the fact that he had ‘left the party to have sex with a woman.’
According to the arrest warrant, the victim had sexual intercourse in the vehicle but ‘ended the encounter because he began’.
Rosafort was frequently seen on social media talking to freshman boys, according to the affidavit.
Rosafort surrendered to authorities last month and posted a $100,000 bond. She was released with the condition that she not have any contact with minors other than her own children. She is also no longer permitted to use social media.
Rosafort resigned from her part-time job at the school after the allegations surfaced, despite having previously been warned to watch her interactions with minors, according to Newstimes. It was described as ‘possibly inappropriate behaviour’ by the school.
According to school district records, she was warned not to text or contact students via social media in December.
According to police, Rosafort has been charged with several offences, including sexual assault in the second degree and using a computer to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity, injury or risk of injury, or impairing a minor’s morals.
Her next court appearance is scheduled for March 23, and she has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
