A couple in Arizona allegedly hid their 16-year-old son’s body behind a stone wall, but they later told authorities the boy fled.
According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, Amber-Leah Valentine and Jon Imes, both 41, reported their son missing on February 25 and said they last saw him around 10 a.m. on February 24.
On February 28, however, officers were summoned back to the Kingman residence after they made the horrifying discovery.
Behind a stone wall, “a deceased Caucasian male was discovered wrapped in a blanket,” the sheriff’s office reported on Monday.
The youngster was autopsied on Saturday by the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Post has asked for details on the circumstances surrounding the teen’s death, but no one has yet responded.
A new development in the case, however, was not made public until days later, when Valentine called to inform police that one of her other daughters, a 14-year-old girl, had just been released from being “kept captive” by Valentine’s two roommates.
After being transported to a nearby hospital with her daughter, Valentine “suggested” that she and her husband, Imes, “had disposed of their 16-year-old son’s body,” according to the sheriff’s office.

But it wasn’t until Valentine called the police to let them know that one of her other kids, a 14-year-old girl, had recently been rescued from being “held hostage” by Valentine’s two roommates, that a fresh development in the case came to light.
Valentine “indicated” that she and her husband, Imes, “had disposed of their 16-year-old son’s body” after being taken to a nearby hospital with her daughter, according to the sheriff’s office.
On March 2, deputies filed a criminal abandonment/concealment of a dead corpse accusation against Valentine and Imes. Pounds was charged with child abuse and serious assault later that day.
According to documents, all three of the adults were still in jail as of Thursday morning. After being questioned, a second roommate was freed pending further inquiry.
