The fantastic thing about Android is how easily it can be customized. The Oxygen OS from OnePlus runs on some of the best Android phones, and while it is very similar to stock Android, the Oxygen OS on the best OnePlus phones does have a few useful little hidden features.
These features will help you get the most out of your OnePlus one and are simple to use whether you have a brand-new OnePlus 11 or an older model. Why wouldn’t you use your phone more if you could? As OnePlus advises, never give up.

1. Zen mode:
Modern life is incredibly busy and at times can feel like switching between screens. Try turning on Zen mode when you need to get away but are unable to simply board a plane and fly to a far-off location. With the help of this feature, you can put your phone to sleep for the duration you specify. While you can still use the phone’s basic functions, such as making calls and using the camera, you won’t have to worry about interruptions from things like social media apps and text messages. Finally, there is tranquility.
Set a timer and select Let’s Go after tapping the Zen Mode app to activate it.
Note: Zen mode cannot be stopped, so plan your time accordingly.
2. OnePlus shelf:
OnePlus has its own version that functions in conjunction with the well-known quick settings and notification shade menu found on Android phones. To access the OnePlus shelf, swipe down from the top right corner of the screen. You can create a completely new page of widgets here that you can access whenever you want.
Open the Settings app and select Special features to enable the OnePlus shelf. Then, using the top right corner toggle, tap OnePlus Shelf to enable Launch Shelf.
3. Work & Life modes:
Enabling Work mode and Life mode is another excellent way to boost productivity, especially if you use the same phone for work and for personal use. You will only receive notifications from the apps you have set up as “work” apps when you have Work mode enabled, and Life mode the opposite. You can program Life and Work modes to turn on or off based on the time of day, the presence of Wi-Fi, or even your location.
Open the Settings app, tap Special features, then choose Work Life Balance to enable Work and Life mode. then decide when Life mode and Work mode start.
4. A choice of Dark Mode:
Dark mode may be a way of life for some people. They’ll be delighted to learn that OnePlus phones actually offer three distinct dark mode iterations. Different levels of darkness are available in the Enhanced, Medium, and Gentle dark modes to best suit your eyes and your surroundings.
Open the Settings app, then select Display & brightness to select your dark mode. Then select Dark mode settings and your preferred color by tapping Dark mode.
5. Gaming Tools:
With their unique gaming tools, OnePlus devices are an excellent choice for mobile gaming, making it even simpler to get the best performance for your favorite titles. You will have quick access to important data like the device’s temperature and frame rate, as well as the ability to quickly switch between various pre-set performance and power-saving modes.

7. Scout Search:
Most phones’ internal search capabilities are typically restricted to app names and little else, but OnePlus’ Scout search tool is a thorough searcher that will look through every single file on your phone. This is fantastic for quickly performing tasks via shortcuts and retrieving misplaced emails or downloads.
The OnePlus Shelf has access to Scout search. Simply type in the search bar by swiping down from the top-right corner.
