The family of a missing 21-year-old woman from Auckland has expressed gratitude to the public for helping find their “caring” daughter.
Early on September 30, 21-year-old Aimee-Jane Smith vanished from her St Heliers home.
She had been reported missing from St Luke’s Mall on September 28 and had since gone missing twice in a week.
The following day, she was located by authorities before going missing once more.
Family, friends, neighbours, and the police continued their search for Smith in Auckland on Monday.
Her father, Finlay Smith, expressed his gratitude for the community’s assistance in helping him locate his “lovely, capable, and caring daughter.”
Smith’s missing person flyers have been seen all over the city; one in Commercial Bay stated that she left her home at around 3am wearing grey track pants.
According to a police spokesperson, authorities are still asking for the public’s assistance in locating Smith.
Her family, friends, and the police all expressed grave worries for her wellbeing and a want to make sure she was safe.
