At the PSL 8 opening ceremony, vocalist Aima Baig performed the national anthem to loud applause from the crowd.
At the Multan Cricket Stadium, the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League got underway today with a star-studded opening ceremony.
Aima Baig was given the honour of performing the national song, despite the fact that Shae Gill, Asim Azhar, Faris Shafi, and Sahir Ali Bagga also sang at the occasion.

The ‘Agay Dekh’ singer’s version of the national anthem was not welcomed by the public as it sparked a series of negative comments and memes on Twitter. Some people even questioned the PCB’s decision to choose Aima Baig for the responsibility as they deemed the selection ‘inadequate’.
