Adam Klotz, a weatherman for FOX NEW, was left bloodied and injured after getting involved in a fight he witnessed on the train.
The native of Indiana wasn’t gravely hurt, but the attack left him with black eyes and bruised ribs.
Adam Klotz reportedly spotted a bunch of adolescents harassing an older man as he was walking home after watching the New York Giants game Saturday night at a pub in New York City.
In accordance with Klotz’s Instagram photos about the occasion, when he instructed the children to “knock it out,” they turned on him instead.
Klotz said: “On the subway, this older gentleman was being hassled by this group of seven or eight teens.”
“And I was like, ‘Yo, guys, cut that out.’ And they decided, ‘Alright, he’s not gonna get it, then you’re going to get it!’ And boy, did they give it to me.”
“They had me on the ground—my ribs are all kinds of bruised up too. They got their hits in!”
No charges were brought against Adam Klotz.
Three teenagers were detained after they exited the train, according to the NYCPD.
Two of them were 15 years old, while the other was 17.Despite complaints being made by minors, the youngsters were ultimately given to their parents, according to the police.
