When his safety belt failed, a guy in charge of teaching school groups on the Death Ride zipline fell 30 feet and died in front of children.
Aaron Delannoy, 24, was thrown 9 metres off the ride on April 26 and suffered severe injuries.
The worker from Kortrijk, Belgium, had been working on the ride during the Big Happening adventure sports festival in Zwenegem, Weson.
The park, which is packed of dangerous rides, is a magnet for school field trips, with hundreds of children visiting every day.
According to local media, Mr Delannoy chose to participate in the Death Ride after monitoring it for a day.
But almost immediately after taking off, his safety equipment failed and he crashed to the ground.
Many children who remained at the event saw him fall to his death, according to local media.
Paramedics called to the ride by supervisors confirmed him dead.
The public prosecutor’s office in Kortrijk also investigated the scene and requested a report on the collision from a technical expert.
Police commissioner Michael Vanden Heede said: “A supervisor from the nature sports organisation Oenanthe decided to descend himself via the death ride around 8pm.
