People are unable to access online banking services because Pakistan’s 1Link system is down, notably Inter Bank Funds Transfers and ATMs. Details indicate that 1Link issues began yesterday (December 1); as a result, individuals have not been able to access 1Link-related banking services such Inter Bank Funds Transfer (IBFT) and ATM withdrawals.
Please be aware that 1Link systems are down and that everyone in Pakistan is experiencing the difficulty if you are having problems with IBFT and ATMs not working. It is advised not to use IBFT or 1Link ATMs right away. However, the bank that issued your debit or credit card still allows ATM withdrawals.
Unaware of the problem, a lot of people have reported Pakistan’s downed internet banking services on social media. While this is going on, a number of banks have informed customers via emails or push notifications about the 1Link issues, so it is best to check with your bank for updates before making any transactions.
Meezan Bank informed all of its clients about the issue via Twitter. The following customer transactions have been impacted as a result of disruption in 1Link services across the board, the bank stated, noting that bill payment services, IBFT, and cash withdrawals from other bank ATMs are unavailable nationwide.
Since 1Link hasn’t provided an update on this, it’s difficult to predict how long their services will be interrupted. As a result, online banking, IBFT, and ATMs aren’t working in Pakistan.
